OYSTER BAY-EAST NORWICH COMMUNITY EVENTS FOR MARCH-APRIL 2011

Spring is here and time to get out of hibernation and start enjoying all the activities that Oyster Bay town has to offer its residents.  As a service to Oyster Bay-East Norwich community and its neighboring villages - Brookville, Muttontown, Oyster Bay Cove, Bayville, Locust Valley, Syosset, Laurel Hollow, Centre Island and Mill Neck, here is a list of events for you to participate. Mark your calendar and try to fit few if not all of the following events in Oyster Bay into your schedule. 

 

EVERY Monday -  PLAY BRIDGE AT OYSTER BAY-EAST NORWICH LIBRARY, 6:30 P.M.  Beginners are welcome.  For more information, call 922-1212

EVERY Tuesday-  OPEN MIKE NITE AT JACK HALYARDS AMERICAN BAR AND GRILL (formerly Fiddleheads), Jack Halyards Restaurant, 8 P.M.  For more information, call 922-2999 or visit www.jackhalyards.com.

 EVERY Wednesday-  LIFE ENRICHMENT CENTER OF OYSTER BAY (formerly DOUBLEDAY-BABCOCK SENIOR CENTER) SENIOR DINNER DISCOUNT AT CANTERBURY ALES.  Members of DBSC can enjoy a $12 meal that includes main entree, soft drink, coffee or tea, tax, and gratuity.  For more information and to make a RESERVATION, call 922-1770.

EVERY Friday-  FRIDAY NIGHTS AT THE HAY BARN (candlelight, food, premium bar, and live music)

EVERY Saturday-  CREATURE FEATURE.  Bring the kids for an up-close look at one of the Sanctuary's many resident wild creatures.

EVERY Saturday and Sunday -  VISIT THE OYSTER BAY RAILROAD MUSEUM / VISITOR CENTER and TURNTABLE RAILYARD.

EVERY Sunday-  ANIMAL TALES.  Enjoy some inside family time at the Sanctuary while listening to stories of adventure, animals at play, and wonders of nature.

Sunday, March 13th-  NORTH SHORE LAND ALLIANCE WALK IN THE WOODS: TIFFANY CREEK PRESERVE (OYSTER BAY COVE).  Kids will love this program, exploring fields and forests with naturalist Dan Kriesberg.
