The Village of Centre Island is located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York in an area on Long Island's North Shore often referred to as The Gold Coast. The area is served by a private, full time, dedicated Police Department. There is only one road leading to Centre Island and there is a police outpost by the entrance past a bridge on the Long Island Sound. The village is close to Oyster Bay and Locust Valley, which offer fine dining, shopping, and public and private schools. The village has a total area of 1.1 square miles.

An interesting report on the luxury market. I am not surprised that there are so few homes that are selling at these luxury prices.
