That is a great picture. Looks like a fun place to visit. Thanks for sharing!
OK, Rosalinda. I'm a sucker for a garden and a gazebo. This has both. Too cool!
How pretty. Looks like a great place to spend an afternoon.
What a stunning place!
bet you really enjoyed it
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Rosalinda,
This is a great looking formal garden. Looks well designed. Thanks for sharing this with us. :)
Steve
Randy - It is the most beautiful public garden in Long Island.
Heather - I'm with you. I do love garden and gazebo also. This garden used to be a private garden and now open to the public.
Crystal - You bet. They also have an Annual Scottish Games on one section of the estate and everyone always have a great time.
Charles - This place has so many things to see both in the garden and at the mansion. It's a great place to visit.
Steve - This is just the perennial garden. There are various gardens in the property all well designed by famous landscape architects during the Gold Coast era (The Great Gatsby era). Money no object. It's now tended by several gardeners and volunteers.
Rosalinda,
What an unusal and beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
Connie Lou
Connie Lou - It's a stunning place. I'll post the mansion next time.
OLD WESTBURY GARDEN - LONG ISLAND GEM OF A PLACE* This place is awesome! they have a huge selection of planter ideas there. I found a planter in a catalog that can be mounted on a wall, and it has a way of keeping the dirt in and the water flows down through it - not to expensive and I really want to try it out! I think this guy's work is amazing! Garden Design magazine did a layout last fall and it was beautiful... My vision is to buy an office building for our company and have the front entrance covered with a planted wall! Great blog!
David
David - Thanks for dropping by. Old Westbury Garden is truly a magnificent place - the mansion, the garden and all the events that are happening there. I always enjoyed my visits there.
