Nature's way of blending the color pink. very nice picture.
One another note would you like to join in my story telling of Cutthroat Suzie? Have some fun with it.
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great week!
We can't have roses - our yard has huge oak trees - maybe our next home :) Karen
Stunning!
We are starting to see some buds loose their peddles... are you too?
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
What beautiful roses! Very lovely. I have often tried but just can't seem to get the hang of roses!
Rosalinda,
You do seem to have a knack for growing beautiful roses. Nice photo. :)
Steve
Karen - Oak tree can certainly compete with roses for food and water and it gives too much shade which is great on a very hot day. There is still chance you can grow roses in big containers and place it where it can get at least 5 hours of sun.
Charles - That happens sometimes. I usually cut them and eventually you get another bloom in 5 weeks. You should be able to get another big flush of blooms in September or early October when it starts to cool off.
Lisa - Try the KnockOut Roses. They are so easy to grow. They don't get blackspot and very disease resistant.
Steve - I just love and grow roses (about 150) but I also grow other things in my garden. I even have strawberry in spring and now an abundance of raspberry which my husband eats with his cereal every morning till about November.
Beautiful. Growing up, my mom was very successful at growing roses. I keep telling myself that I should plant some roses in my garden. Maybe it's time it give a try for myself.
Rosalinda, the roses are gorgeous! I hope to see more photos of your other roses in the garden.
Irene - I'm sure you'll be able to grow beautiful roses. After all, you must have learned a lot from your mom.
Silvia - Great idea. I'll try to post more.
Love the Knockout Roses - I gave up on he fussy hybrid teas. The knockouts bloom all summer long and are so hearty. They now come in yellow!! I love them and and planted about 10 in my garden.
Dina - Excellent move! The landscapers are now using KnockOut roses instead of Betty Prior roses in their landscape project.
I was just up in NY and the flowers were all still in bloom, very pretty.
Cindy - I got some of my roses still blooming. Some I cut back and waiting for the next flush. The annuals are blooming their hearts out and giving the garden lots of color.
