It looks lovely, Rosalinda. It's so nice to see everything greening up again!
Looks great .. did not think NY was so far ahead of us with this spring thing
Bob - Thank you. The weather was so perfect today and with the spring bulbs and the forsythia blooming, it was great to be outdoors.
Nice! Nice! Nice!
The spring colors can certainly entice us to come outside. Looks great!
Nice! My girlfriend would love to have one like that. We are trying to figure out what to do with the yard. I wish you the best.
Rosalinda, what a beautiful garden! You must spend hours working in it all year long.
Eric - NY has different zones and even in Long Island, some areas are on Zone 6, some are on Zone 7.
Kat - Thank you for stopping by.
John - After the cold winter, spring bulbs is a welcome sight.
Such a pretty photo. Thank you for sharing. We just had snow last night and this morning. Hope to have our flowers looking as lovely soon.
Nate - First thing you should check is how much sun or shade you have and plan accordingly. If you have plenty of sun, then you can practically plant anything.
Maria - Thank you. During the growing season, I put maybe an hour in the morning before I go to work and another hour in the afternoon when I get home. Not everyday, though. The garden is a work in progress for 30 years,
Kim - Snow? I'm tired of winter. I'm glad spring has arrived here. Looking outside, I just realized I have tremendous tasks ahead of me to get the garden ready.
Rosalinda, lovely garden, thit says you are the rose lady but that looks like tulips, right?
Joanne,
I have tulips between the roses so I can have color in the garden before the roses bloom. By the time the roses are blooming, the leaves of the tulips are all withered away so I just cut them all off. Nobody will know that I had tulips there before. I have almost 100 roses in those formal beds in the middle of my backyard.
Wow! That garden is awesome! Spring has really arrived for you there! That is a beautiful garden!
Kathy
Kathy - Thank you. I have color in the garden from now on. The garden is starting to look very pretty.
Rosalinda, That is a beautiful spring garden. My spring garden is in Spring, (Tx that is) and it is too warm here for tulips. I sure miss them but not enough to move where it is cold.
Rosalinda,
Beautiful roses and garden! I am jealous the growing season hasn't started quite yet here in Montana.
Marchel - I'm thinking of moving to South Carolina. I hope I can grow tulips there. Maybe I have to refrigerate them for I believe 6-8 weeks but then I have to grow them as annuals. I have perennial tulips and they do come back every year.
Jackie - You must have a very short growing season. My brother lives in Vermont and they have snow till mid May. I don't know if I want to live there. It's a pretty place just like Montana but I bet it's very cold. My husband told me he went to camp there when he was young and even in summer, it's cold at night but nice during the day.
Rosalinda,
What a lovely garden. Thank you for sharing,
Ann
Ann - Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy the season.
What a lovely garden. Are those tulips?
Needless to say quite BEAUTIFUL!
Cheron Lange
Michael - Those are tulips. I planted them in between the roses to give the garden color while I'm waiting for the roses to bloom.
Looks like The Rose Lady does a pretty good job at being The Tulip Lady, as well.
Jim - I just love flowers - April & May for tulips and daffodils and June and the rest of the year for roses.
